PUBLIC NOTICE In accordance with the Tax Payers Bill of Rights (TABOR) amendment, the Steamboat Springs City Clerk is accepting written pro/con statements regarding the ballot question proposing a property tax at a rate of up to (2) mills dedicated to provide fire protection and prevention services and emergency medical services referred to the electorate by Ordinance No. 2716, of which will appear on the Municipal Section of the November 5, 2019 Coordinated Election ballot. A copy of these ballot issues is available at City Hall, or can be found on the City's website at All written comments meeting the following requirements*, will be summarized as part of the TABOR election notice: 1) Comments must be filed by an eligible elector of the jurisdiction submitting the ballot issues, which is the City of Steamboat Springs; 2) Comments must identify and address the specific ballot issue or issues to which they refer; 3) The written document must include a signature (can be an electronic signature) and an address (residence) where the signer is registered to vote; and 4) The written document must be filed with the designated election official (City Clerk).
